And here is the final part of the story about the first two cafe-racer kits for Kawasaki Zephyr 550. It took much longer than I expected to develop the kit and settle all matters of the new kit manufacturing. Now I could make a Zephyr 550 cafe racer kit to order in the same three-four weeks that were necessary to make a 750 kit. Every kit is in fact custom made by me and the best contractors I could find and of quality materials. However, let’s return to the first two kits.
The one with the brown seat has already met its owner, my client from France.
Another one is packed and soon will be on its way to Zephyr 550 owner in Germany.
It’s hard not to notice that this kit tail part is already painted. Usually I provide a tail primed and ready for painting. Painted tail is a rare exception. For one thing, it takes more time and effort, while for another I couldn’t guarantee 100% color fitment. Even using the same receipt and materials from the same manufacturer (but likely from different batches) two different painters may get two quite different results. But I have to admit that a painted tail looks much more fancy than a primed one! So I shot some additional photos.
And to finish the post, here is how finished seat (equipped with lock hooks) looks from below:

Hallo.
Ich habe auch Interesse an dem Preis vom Kit für die Zephyr 550.
Gruß René
Hallo René,
I am located in Ukraine. Unfortunately, due to the war (Russian invasion, cruel and unprovoked act of aggression) I was forced to postpone my projects and parts manufacturing.
I volunteered for the army this Spring. Now I am at the frontline, doing my best defending my country. Hope one day I’ll return to my workshop and my projects.
Kind regards,
Nazar
