On one hand, this year autumn turned out to be rather cold with only a few warm days randomly popping here and there. On another hand, such drastic weather benefited us with the burst of autumn colours all around. And as the all-yellow-and-red fall wonder was reaching its summit, the old desire for picturing motorcycles framed by autumn colours started steering inside of me.
Same flame was burning in Oksana’s heart. I could miss the “very day” if not for her call with classic “It’s now or never” warning. That’s how it happened that one morning I was warming up our most “autumn” motorcycle, Yamaha XJ400/XJ600 “Eight Ball” cafe-racer and packing my camera in the backpack, while wind was blowing leaves from trees around me by hundreds.
Soon I was at our favourite viewpoint on the hills above the river. It is located mostly in the centre of the city but not flooded with townies and tourists since it’s obscured by trees and only a couple of ways leads to it. One may have seen the photos of our Honda CB815 I shot there a couple of years ago.
With all those colours around it was hard to stop taking photos. So I was forced to divide all pictures into three parts. Here is the first of them, let’s call it “Eight Ball”, autumn and river.
